My husband and I are planning to vacation in Jamaica around August. We would like to know which is more fun and have a more full-filled night life between Montego Bay and Negril? Night life filled with rap and r&b and not just reggae.

Negril, no contest.

Going to Jamaica and wanting to get away from reggae? Some things just make me go "hmmmmm" ;-)

Negril is fabulous!!!! But you ARE gonna hear a lot of reggae. "Nightlife" is more like beach parties or discos not really night clubs per se.

You should go with Negril, really you don't need to think again if you are planning.

I shouldn't speak bad about MoBay as I've only been the airport and quickly gotten out of town on my way to Negril. But it's a huge city and people who visit seem to stick to their resorts and tourist activities. There's more of interest to see and do in Negril and a better warm welcome for tourists there.
