Please help. I am looking for an island to have a beautiful wedding just for 2. I live in Atlanta and do not want to travelmore than three hours. I want one stop shopping. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You should be able to make it to Jamaica in about three hours. I live in Memphis and we have a straight, 3 hour flight to Montego Bay. I would think Atlanta would have the same.

Look into the Couples resorts. Specifically Couples Negril. We were married at an all-inclusive last year and it made for a very relaxing and carefree wedding/honeymoon. Everything you need is at your fingertips without having to carry around a purse/wallet.

Congrats and good luck in choosing!

Beachlover's suggestion is good. Most resorts in Jamaica offer free wedding packages if you stay for a certain amount of nights...generally 5 or more nights.

Since it's only the 2 of you, I would suggest a small boutique resort. I did my wedding at Charela Inn. My Matron of honor attended and the hotel provided someone to fill-in for the bestman!

At least you won't be in debt after your wedding. The good thing with getting married in the islands is that you get to do the wedding and honeymoon in one shot, for the same price!

Let us know hwat you decide.

If you are not set on the Caribbean, check out Little Palm Island. It is an upscale resort on its own private island in the Florida Keys. It looks absolutely beautiful on the site and has gotten many glowing reviews. I had considering eloping myself and if we did this is where we were going to go! Another plus is that there is no waiting period for marriages in Florida if you are from out of state. The resort has different packages depending on how much or how little you want (for example: just a ceremony or photos, cake, etc.) Check out the web site: littlepalmisland.com for pictures and an explanation of the different wedding plans they offer. Good luck!
