Eleuthera: Pineapple Fields vs Unique Village

Has anyone stayed @ Pineapple or Unique?

Which has better beaches for soft, long walking beaches? Which villa/hotel did you like better - overall?

Haven't been to either resort but I LOVE Eleuthera. One of my favorite lesser known Caribbean destinations.

I've seen the outside of both, we always rent homes, not stay in a hotel.

That said, I'd go for Pineapple Fields. Brand new, with a very good restaurant on site. The restaurant at Unique is overpriced. And I read on Trip Advisor that their pool "does not always have water in it". I have also seen some unfinished (for years) units on their property. that is not a good sign IMO.

Would you consider renting a house? More bang for the buck.

Love Eleuthera. Have not stayed at either but Pineapple fields is more popular than Unique. You have to walk across the street to get to the beach at pineapple fields.

Pinapple looks great!

The other place I'm looking @ is Rainbow Inn, which is not on the beach. Any comments on Rainbow Inn?

Where do you usually stay, and do you do a day trip to Harbour?
