Eleuthera - Cocodimama

Is this place still open? A few websites list it as a restaurant, but not a hotel. Their main website goes to a landing page with nothing else. I will try to call the phone number I've found on some UK pages, but they are no longer on www.eleuthera.com under accommodations. Any current insight? we plan on traveling in mid-March. thanks

Cocodimama just re-opened February 2009! There are new owners, but it still has the same, laid back feel. A young Italian couple is managing the hotel, and their mother (who only speaks Italian) is in the kitchen. The food is incredible! She makes her own homemade pastas, breads, and desserts. It is the best food to be found on the island. Not to mention the location- you can't find any other places to stay that put you directly on the beach. I liked it better than the Atlantic side because it was quiet and calm all the time. Cocodimama was an incredible experience- it felt like a bed and breakfast, with wonderful people!

Is the food that great? I'll definitely have to check it out next time on the island.

I just got back & Cocodimama is reopened and fabulous! Comfy, on the beach laid back, with a great Italian chef. Yes, great food!
