Electrical outlets? Converter needed?

From Canada - will we need an international current converter? Sorry to ask, but I did check the past postings via 'search' before adding this question!

Where are you going

Oops, sorry - since I was posting on Jamaica, I meant the whole island. We are driving and staying in Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, Kingston, and Montego Bay...... does that help??

You will not need converters in any resort property in Jamaica - they are all US/Canada standard.

A good reference for international electrical issue is www.magellans.com They are a travel catalog, but list lots of important travel info like this.

I would bring one anyway. I stayed at the Riu in Negril and did need a converter, which I hadn't brought with me. I too was under the impression they weren't needed. Sorry - it was several months ago, and I can't remember what the plugs looked like. I just remember being thankful that I have low maintenance hair!

Ask the hotels where you are staying if one is needed, and if they have them available.
