Electrical converter

Never had to use one before on Barbados and wondered if the standard type available at Radio Shack is sufficient.

P.S. Can a U.S. extension cord be used with such a converter? (I'd bring one from home, if so.)

I'm confused. Are you from the U.S.? If so, you don't need an electrical converter in Barbados. Why are you bringing one?

Pretty sure the place I stay does not have U.S.-style outlets.
But good point: I'll email and ask.
Thanks.

Every place on Barbados has U.S.-style plugs. The electricity standard is island-wide.
