Eating out in GC?
I am trying to get a feel for our choices in GC for meals we may choose to eat out rather than in the condo. We are staying in the 7MB area and although we may venture across the island, I suspect most of our dining will be close to home.
So having said that, can someone tell me are there any midpriced type restaurants in the area that are good? We have a group of 5, so hoping to stay under $20/person for most meals. May splurge for a meal out at a nicer restaurant but I'm there for the scenery more than the food. |
Duke's, Tim Buc Tuu, Sunshine Grill, Guy Harvey's, Alfresco's and Cimboco come to mind. Under $20 is not happening at most of the non-roadside or local food places.

Other places to consider: Heritage Kitchen, Chicken/Chicken, Eats, Rankin's Jerk, and for the more adventurous, Welly's Cool Spot. I walked out of Duke's because they didn't have the air conditioner on.
I agree with TT that US$20 is considered a low priced restaurant not mid priced. Prices in Grand Cayman are more like those in NYC or Washington, DC. |
GC is not a cheap place, but it is one of our favorite islands to eat on. When we were there, we grabbed a free "What's Hot" magazine. It tells you what's going on when you're on the island - and every once in awhile, you might find a restaurant that has a deal.
We absolutely love Casanova's. The Reef Grill also has a good menu and food. Enjoy your trip! |
