Dunn's River falls and six year old

we are thinking of taking a day trip to Dunn's River falls . Our children are 14, 11, an 6. My qustion is should I stay back at the resort with our youngest or is this a good place for all of us?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think your 6 year old will do fine. They have you hold hands and make a chain as you go up. Lot of seniors go up.

Thanks BarbaraS,

Thank you for your responce. That must mean if seniors can climb, a 6 year old and her 40 year old Mom will be just fine!
Thanks!

Just chiming in here with the group, we visited Dunn's with our 5 year old and 10 year old. I thought it might be too hard for our 5 year old so he and I just hung out at the beach next to the falls (there are facilities, snack bar, picnic tables). However, after his Dad and sister came back he really wanted to do it so they all went up again. He needed some help over the big rocks but it was a highlight for him.

You can rent watershoes at any of the falls, but I suggest you bring your own. Lands End sells a shoe for all ages, I think it's called surf to shore or something like that. They are very lightweight, comfortable sneakers that you can wear all the time, not just when you're at the falls. They dry quickly, come in cool colors, are easy to take off wet feet.

Thanks for the shoe advice. We leave on Sunday. The ten day weather report is looking sad with rain not sun. My hope is that it turns around soon!

ABJS,
Never pay attention to weather forcasts for the caribbean, they always say rain. Unless there's a front of some kind in the area you'll just experience brief showers for a few minutes and then the sun is out again.

Thanks GC_Sandy
You put a smile back on my face. I will try not to think of that 60% chance of rain all week, and think of soaking up all that sun and fun!
