Drinking Water in Cozumel

I was wondering what the source for Cozumel's drinking water is. I am going there this weekend and someone who was there a few years ago said that the hotels brought around bottled water. Is that the case? I couldn't find mention of drinking water in the latest Fodors 97 Cancun/Cozumel guide. Thanks in advance

Bottled water is available everywhere. Ask for or
look for "agua purificada". Purified water is
usually provided with every hotel room. If the
water in your room is an expensive, imported
variety such as Evian, for sure there's an extra
chargefor it. When dining out look for a large
dispenser somewhere in the room. That water is the
same as the sealed bottle on your table but you
won't be charged xtra for it. Enjoy the Isla de Cozumel!
