Dress code Bermuda

We are spending a long labor day weekend with our adult children and have rented a house. For restaurants, does anyone know the definition of resort casual in Bermuda? Sneakers and flip flips yes or no? Many thanks :)

Depends on the restaurant and time of day.

Sneakers & flip-flops are OK at breakfast & lunch as are t-shirts and shorts.

For dinner dress shorts or khakis & shirts with collars (golf shirts are fine) and closed toe shoes for men, dress shorts, slacks or skirt with blouse or sundress and nice sandals or flats will be appropriate for women. You can be a little more casual at dinner if eating at a beach bar or similar type establishment.

We travel to Bermuda annually and have probably been about 25 or 26 times.

Sneakers / flip flops are ok for breakfast / lunch at casual places.

If you plan on dining in the evening at Fourways, Ascots, The Waterlot or another "fine dining" establishment the men should wear long pants and a collared shirt. You will see some men at these restaurants in jackets and maybe a tie. However, a jacket & tie are not required. Ladies generally wear nice slacks / skirt, dressy top to this type of place. Places like Flanagan's and the Hog Penny are casual and shorts and a collared shirt are fine.
