Does my dream vacation exist in the carribean

Once again I am planning my trip to the Caribbean. Most likely around February 8th... Its my 40th. Here is what I would like......Clear Calm Warm Water - I love to snorkel and I want to paddle board and kayak. Clean beaches, great bars with Adults....no kids preferably. Clean updated rooms with a balcony overlooking the water to enjoy my morning coffee on. Most importantly great food options. I like my coctails..... or lots of them. I also would like a nice fitness center to work out in. Excursions - Love catamaran cruises, ATV ( possibly )... Budget - 5 - 6 grand tops. annnnnddddd GOOO!.....lol

Im going on record with selecting vacation is so tough its not fun anymore.

I have been to Negril - Loved it
I have been to Punta Cana - you couldn't pay me to go back that dump.

Go back to Negril?
Have you been to the Mayan Riviera (the Caribbean coast of Mexico)?

Grand Case Beach Club on St Martin. Great beach, onsite food, catch a catamaran ride from the beach...perfect.

I was also going to suggest French St Martin. Not the finest snorkeling but a catamaran could take you to some decent spots. Everything else you asked for is there.

I totally agree with suze.

With that budget, you can EASILY find a gorgeous adult only All-Inclusive in the Riviera Maya of Mexico. Plenty of water sports and off resort adventures in the area.

tntillotson - Any resort recommendations or accommodations on Grand Cayman?

To all - I wouldn't mind Mexico as I have never been. However, the Other half is a little skeptical with our political shenanigans going on right now. But I would take any resort recommendations.

Same for St Martin.

To all all of you, thank you so much for all the feedback and suggestions.

Any thoughts for Antigua?

I didn't like Antigua at all. What about Virgin Islands?

I go to Mexico 1-2 times a year, have been doing that since the early 90's. I go to Puerto Vallarta. No one has ever mentioned USA politics to me while I was there. I just rent an apartment in town, so can't help with a specific resort since I've never stayed at one. But wanted to chime in on your partners "hesitations".

Re: brennynp's question- The Virgin Islands would be great except that there are no adult-only resorts. It's very family oriented. Also no AI, if that's what you were looking for.

The new Kimpton Seafire resort is opening in November on Seven Mile BeachGrand Cayman. Every room is supposed to have an ocean view. The weather in February will be great

Don't expect advice from tntillotson He is using this forum to advertise his condo.
