Does It Exist??

Please advise destination that combines great snorkeling and fly fishing??
Would prefer location that has snorkeling just off beach, or very easy entrance. Will be traveling last week of July, 2004.
Any and all input greatly appreciated.

Try the Out Islands of the Bahamas -- I see the fly fisherman (going after bonefish) going down all the time. And there is off-the-beach snorkeling as well. Abaco and Cat come to mind.

Cat Island has unbelievable snorkeling and has been written about numerous times for its fly fishing. We were there a couple of years ago and loved it. Hawks Nest Resort & Marina is where we stayed and I would highly recommend it.

Watch "Walkers Cay Chronicles" on ESPN; they are hosted by Flip Pallot (sp.?) and show great fly fishing for the "grey ghost" (Bonefish). The marls off various out islands like Abaco, Eleuthera, Exuma, etc. offer great fly fishing and remote beaches. Robert

You might want to try Turks and Caicos too. Great snorkeling and fishing!
