Do hot chicks vacation in the usvi?
 

My friend and I are going on vacation in the usvi for 10 days. We are both 24. we are going to go deep sea fishing, scuba diving, jet skiing, kiteboarding, and rent a boat to island hop on the virgin islands, and we are defiantly going to drink a lot. We will hang out at bars, go bar hopping, and hit up a few clubs. We are wanting to rent a villa. We are also wanting to meet some new friends and meet some pretty girls. So do the usvi have a lot of pretty girls who vacation there? Also if u think another island would fit me criteria better please tell. Thanks in advance.

You sound more like a Cancun person....during March.

I think St. Thomas fits except for maybe the bar hopping part. I'm hoping one of our regular St. Thomas posters chimes in here as (s)he can tell you more about that. There are a few bars in Red Hook but there didn't seem to be a lot going on a couple of weeks ago when we were on St. Thomas. I would also suggest that rather than renting a villa that you stay at a resort. It's easy to meet people at a resort and you're rather isolated at a villa. We stayed at Frenchman's Reef and there were lots of young women there around the pool.

Please make sure you take a taxi rather than renting a car if you plan on drinking. Taxis are not too expensive but they do charge a flat rate per person. There were 6 of us and it was $10/person from Frenchman's Reef to Red Hook, a good 20 minute drive. So not bad. Much cheaper than taking a taxi here in Boston.

Have you checked into renting a boat for the day? We did it a few days but it can get pricey. It cost us about $1,000/day but worth it for us. We had a blast. If you're there for a full moon you can check out the full moon parties at either Bomba Shack or Trellis Bay, both on Tortola.

Probably the better islands for partying and meeting other people are St. Martin and Aruba but obviously the best place to island-hop is in the Virgin Islands. You can, of course, take ferries to Anguilla and St. Barts (lots of beautiful people on St. Barts) from St. Martin but you're kind of stuck on Aruba if you decide to go there. Not much near there except for Venezuela, about 18 miles away.

I agree with the suggestion of Cancun. The USVI's are a bit more laid back. Drunken partying is a Cancun thing.

No, I don't think the USVI is what you want at all.

You need somewhere that specialized more in the 'spring break' kind of atmosphere and attracts 20-somethings partying. Cancun, Cabo, Playa del Carmen (all in Mexico). Certain AI resorts that are aimed at singles in Negril Jamaica. It's not so much about the island but about the type of resort. Sounds like you need a Club Med or Hedonism kind of place.

Beautiful girls are everywhere, and of course everyone has different tastes, but I can bet beautiful girls aren't attracted to drunk guys.

No clubs in VIs.

You really need a place like Cancun, VI very laid back and mostly quiet.

Seriously, listen to the advice above!! US Virgin Islands is about quiet places, enjoying nature, camping, snorkeling, things like that. There's some bars obviously around but it is NOT what you are picturing. You will be sorely disappointed.

Thanks for the replies y'all. I should of detailed my drinking part bettter. When i say im going to drink a lot. I mean hanging out relaxed style of drinking I don't drink to get drunk i drink because i like to drink. Im a country boy from oklahoma that just likes to drink but i never get wild. Im very laid back. The only reason i put a few clubs is because thats were girls my age usually like to go. thanks y'all for the replies

I still think you're barking up the wrong tree with the US Virgin Islands for what you want to do.

I'd suggest Negril Jamaica, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Cabo, or Puerto Vallarta Mexico instead.

I am pretty sure you have to be 25 to rent a car. I am not sure about age for renting a villa, but a bunch of guys would be a red flag. There are pretty girls around, but it definitely isn't like "Girls Gone Wild" or anything. There are some "clubs" like Starz, but most of the hanging out is in restaurant/bars.

Many of your activities are pricy. Bring plenty of $$$$

God, I hope not! We just booked a family trip to St Croix, and we would love to avoid defiant or definite drunks.
