discount-all-inclusive.com for honeymoon????
I am in the process of booking my honeymoon (to the Sandal's Grand St. Lucian). I have received a price quote from a travel agent as well as one through the website, discount-all-inclusive.com. The Website qoute is about $500 cheaper! I am a bit apprehensive about booking through this website as I have never used them before nor have I received feedback from anybody who has. Have any of you used or heard about this website? Good? Bad? Am I taking a risk by booking my honeymoon on-line rather than through a travel agent? Any responses would be greatly appreciated!

I was recommended this website by someone else who uses it all the time. You should be fine. Good luck and congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Be careful posting another website address in the "Subject" line of your inquiry. Someone else did that a few days ago and some really disturbing people posted absolutely nasty replies about doing that. I stopped reading the thread after a few particularly nasty ones and I noticed it's now disappeared so Fodors probably had to remove it due to some foul reply or other. When you try to stick up for yourself, they just get nastier!!! I hope they don't read this posting because this is my only reply and I hope I haven't called thier "wrath" down on your unsuspecting head. Just be aware that some people think it's advertising the company or something. Never did understand why they insisted on replying even when apologies were issued by all concerned!

We have booked five vacations through them in the last two years and the prices and service can't be beat. They are certified Sandals Specialist (Best of the Best) and a SuperClubs Diamond Agency. If you are at all apprehensive call Lynn Wilkerson, the manager, at 800-615-3389.
You won't regret using D-A-I and probably will develop a good relationship with them as we did.

As always, when dealing with big bucks and the internet, if you live in the USA, visit bbb.com, the Better Business Bureau. They can give you a heads-up on what places to avoid. It lists # of complaints and resolutions.

It worked out well for me when I got a good deal from a travel web site.

Carrie, I would recommend using your local travel agency. You can find a Certified Sandals Specialist in your area by checking the Sandals.com website. You will be assured of personal service and you'll have an actual person to be in contact with. Discount.all.inclusive basically gives away their commission so they can get a lot of volume. I wonder if they really provide any personalized service?

You will be assigned an agent who you can call at any time, you'll get the same service as your local agent at a much more reasonable cost. Dave also makes a good point, check with the Better Business Bureau.

Hi all!

Thank you for your replies! I actually just booked my honeymoon though discoun-all-inclusive.com and am very pleased so far. I have contacted an individual agent with my questions and she has been both helpful and friendly. Before booking I did check the company's references as well as with the BBB - no complaints! So, it looks like I have one of the big wedding plan to-do's checked off. Thanks again for everyone's input!

Carrie

I have also heard great things about that website, it should be fine. Congrats!

P.S. Keep in mind the BBB is not always the best resource. If the company does not pay the BBB to be a member they will not list any complaints or info. Its a private organization. To be sure, always check within the state the company does business in. Complaints and lawsuits info is part of the free information act and most states make it available on the web.

Traveler, I take offense to generalizing of agencies that discount commissions. I am a Certified Sandals/Beaches Specialist, discount commissions, have a web site and a store front office. All of my clients have my office #, Home # and cell phone # if they need to contact me. Just because we discount a commission does not mean we don't provide service. I'll even make your reservation on a Holiday.

John, I did not generalize. My comments were referring specifically to discount-all-inclusive.com. They do discount (give away) their commission to create volume. I do not know what their service is like, so cannot attest to that. I simply stated the facts as I understand them. I also referred Carrie to the Sandals.com website where she can find a local agency that is a Sandals Certified Specialist. I think you misunderstood my comments. Relax.

Traveler, I am relaxed. Getting ready to Sandals for the 20th time. Not as a travel agent, but a paying guest. By the way, do you know that some Certified Sandals Specialists have never seen the inside of a Sandals.

Galley Bay, Antigua would be my choice. . .
