Direct Flights to Caribbean

Which Caribbean islands are the most easily accessible from NJ/NYC area? I'm looking for an island where I can get a direct flight into, or a direct flight with a short ferry ride. I am aware of Nassau, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, St. John...any others?
Thanks

There are some non stop flights into Turks and Caicos, St. Martin, and Antigua. Not sure about Barbados, American use to have a non stop out of JFK.

Add St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, Cozemel, Cancun and Belize (although the last two are not technically islands) to the list.

Be careful with terminology - not meaning to "nitpick", but direct and non-stop are not the same thing. Direct means plane lands somewhere, you stay on, it takes off and you go to your destination (such as JFK to Atlanta to Nassau). Non-stop means non-stop. If you talk to airlines you could be in for a nasty surprise if you really mean non-stop.

Bermuda, while not actually in the Caribbean is probably your shortest flight from NY - but since it is not Caribbean, if you want warm you would need to go May-Oct.
