Dinner Cruises from St. Martin

We are traveling to St. Martin in a group of 8 and would like to try a dinner cruise one evening. Any recommendations?

Hello AbbyFarris,

There are two very nice dinner cruises in St. Maarten.

The first is on the Passaat Sailing Vessel which sails out of Simpson Bay for a rather private dinner cruise, they only take out a max. of around 8 guests per charter which actually makes it perfect for your party. I know the lady rather well that is running the tour, she is very friendly and professional!

The other tour is the Lagoon Pub Crawl which is a more party oriented trip on the Celine catamran as it cruises to various restaurants/Pubs on the lagoon.

Both are very nice, the question is, are you in the mood for a party on the lagoon hoping around pubs or a relaxing sail beneath the stars?

You can check out http://sxmdeals.com , a website specialized in getting deals for tourists coming to St. Maarten. Another great tour to look at when on St. Maarten is the Tuesday Eco Tour or Friday Farewell Tour which are great because you sail around the island and there are plenty of stops. Feel free to contact me via the contact form or email on the SXM Deals website, I can get you some very nice deals on the tours and rental cars that nobody can get anywhere!

Otherwise, have a great trip! SXM is plenty of fun and mischief.

Hi Michael

Thanks for reminding me !

My 'wife' and I booked an evening cruise on the 'Passat' late last year - we turned out to be the only passengers, and I suggested, at the dock, that perhaps they would rather cancel as there was nobody else going.

The charming couple who operate this boat - which incidentally has a really fascinating history - insisted that there was NO WAY that we were not going as, she said about themselves, "We both like to sail".

We had a splendid evening, and the photo which is attached to my signature on this forum was taken that evening.

Highly reccomended !

Now that is a nice charter, the boat just to yourselves! The hosts are indeed very friendly and do care very much for all their guests.
