i'm staying at the atlantis in nov, where can i go for the best surf and turf dinner or spiny lobster .it does not have to be in the resort.it's for my 40th birthday.

I'm not a lobster eater, but my favorite restaurants at Atlantis are Vills D'Este, Fathoms and the Bahamian Club. <BR> Have a great time and happy birthday!

Kim, if you really want one of the best meals in your life, go to Greycliff, dinner will be amazing, white glove all the way and they have one of the best wine cellars in the carribean. Dinner will be expensive $200-$300 with wine and desert. Last time I was there I had lobster bisque and it was the best bisque I have ever had. <BR> <BR>The other suggestion I would have is the Poop Deck which is close to PI and a great view of the harbour area from the dinning room. <BR> <BR>Have a great birthday. <BR> <BR>tweedy

Kim: <BR>I took my husband to Atlantis as a surprise and we celebrated his birthday at the Bahamian Club. The food was wonderful (although expensive) and the ambiance was nice. My only complaint about the restaurant was the noise factor. It's not a large place, so make your reservations as early as possible. I believe you can make restaurant reservations 30 days prior. <BR> <BR>I would recommend Fathoms for the experience -- the views of the aquariums are incredible -- but I was less than enthused with the food. Although the service was good, I felt we were being rushed to finish in order to accommodate more people. <BR> <BR>There are some really good restaurants next door at the Sheraton, too. We ate at the Italian restaurant there (Julie's) several times and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the break from the high prices and crowded restaurants of Atlantis. Their "Rotisserie Grill" restaurant was excellent -- it is quiet and has beautiful picture windows overlooking the beach. We never needed reservations to get into either of these restaurants. <BR> <BR>Hope your birthday is memorable.

Hi: I just got home from the ATlantis over the w/e. Ask for a room in the Coral Towers as close to the ocean as you can get it. We stayed in the older part of the resort in a 2 story villa...and walked directly out onto the beach. For dinner, restaurants at the Atlantis like everything else there, server large portions and I just felt the food was heavy. The best meal we had was at the Poop deck...right on the water, fish was great! Fun atmosphere. Would not reccomend the meal plan at the Atlantis...its like $20 for breakfast for an all you can eat type buffet, unless of course large meals are your preference, then it would be worth it.

Ditto the Poop Deck, and the Grey Cliff. Latter is very expensive. The Grouper served at the Poop Deck may have been swimming in the deep ocean early that morning. Bahamian cooks perform wonders with "spicing up" their meals. Ironically, I consumed the chicken dinner at the Poop Deck for a change of pace, and the herbs and spices in the sauce definately made me feel I was in a "foreign" country. It didn't taste like chicken, and was superb! Robert
