Hi Jerry,
Those are my two favorite restaurants at Atlantis, so my answer would be BOTH. Villa D'Este is more romantice, if that's a concern. It's a warmer atmosphere. But in Fathoms you get to watch the aquariums throughout your meal. Of course you could eat at Villa D'Este and then visit the fish!!

Hi Gail
I like your idea about dining ar Villa D'Este and going to see the fish after. At first I was sure I wanted to dine at Fathoms because it has a more dramatic atmosphere -after all, how often do you get to dine in a restaurant with floor to ceiling fish tanks. The menu selections also looked more interesting.
On the other hand, I keep hearing that Villa D'Este is very romantic (although it doesn't look that way on the web site), and everyone who writes about it seems to absolutely love the food and service. This is unusual because usually you hear about some people liking a restaurant, and some not enjoying it as much. This has been the case for Fathoms -some people absolutely love it, and some people say it is so so.
What did you like about Fathoms -the food, the ambience, or both?
Thnka again!
