Hi Penny,

I loved Jumby -gorgeous place, beautiful room, terrific food/drink, outstanding, outstanding service. They really work at making you happy and making you feel at home. I will give more extensive specifics when I write my long trip report.

Thanks for recomming it.

Diane

I am so glad you enjoyed it!!! We are off to CJ on Tuesday, then to Jumby the following Monday. I am island hopping flying Caribbean Star-so I am a bit nervous. I could not get the courage to take Liat!!!

Don't worry about Caribbean Star. I met a couple who flew from San Juan to Antigua, and they thought it was just fine. Liatt was fine also. It was on time for both flights, and had a wonderful view of the islands between St. Thomas and Antigua. Only drawbacks were my overweight charges, $90+ round trip, ( I must do something about bringing too much stuff>), and at the St. Martin stopover, passengers had to leave the aircraft and go through another complete security check, including all luggage. I was told this was due to leaving and having the initial check at a foreign port, (Although the second check was also at a foreign port). Both planes have about 50 seats. I felt very secure, and feel you will be o.k.

Penny, if you haven't flown Caribbean Star, but have flown Liat, I think you'll be comfortable. I've flown CS several times--no delays, no snafus, no fatal crashes. I think they do a nice job.
Cap Juluca-Jumby Bay is a wonderful combination, isn't it? Have a great time.

Diane and Traveleis-Thank you so much for your reassurance!! One of these days I have to get up the nerve to do St. Barths, Mustique etc.
Again Diane I am glad you were impressed with the service at Jumby!
It is much more personal than Caneel, and even C.J.!!!! Hope your report will be soon!
Anyhow how can I go wrong with CJ and Jumby (and a puttle jumper-well not quite)!

I've only flown Liat once but was quite impressed with a very short flight from Grenada to Barbados that the smiling flight attendents literally ran down the aisle offering drinks and then turned around and run back to snatch the empties! I'll always have a chuckle remembering that!
