DESTINATION ADVICE

My husband and I are planning a trip to the Caribbean in November for our 20th anniversary. We are hoping for the honeymoon we didn't have. We would like to stay at an All-inclusive resort that has a variety of food to choose from, some entertainment or music, and preferably some night life. We don't need a bar just dancing, music, etc. We would also like to go to a place that has things to do & see on the island, such as historical sites, ruins, etc. We want to enjoy the beach, sun, and warm weather. Our budget is about $1000 to $1500 pp. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips? I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks!

With that budget, you should be able to find something decent for 3 different areas...

Riviera Maya - Best bang for your buck
Jamaica
DR

I also would look at the Mayan Riviera (the Caribbean coast of Mexico from Cancun, down to Playa del Carmen, then Akumal and Tulum, and including Isla Mujeres and Cozemel (islands). Your money will go further in Mexico.

I think Jamaica is another good suggestion, I like Negril.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely look into them!

With that budget, the 1st and 2nd week of November will be your option. If you plan on going anytime near Thanksgiving the price will be significantly higher.

Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen/Riviera Maya would be your best options. You get way more for your money in those destinations.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We will be going around the second week in November. So far, we are looking into DR. It seems to be just right for our budget.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this destination? The best part of the island to stay or activities we can enjoy?

Thanks!

If you want to go to the Dominican Repubilc, "Punta Cana" is where most of the All-Inclusive resorts have been developed.
