Dengue fever?

Jump to last reply

We were all set to book a Jan/Feb trip to Puerto Rico, and then heard about a Dengue fever outbreak there. Due to some health issues and the fact that I'm generally a mosquito-magnet, we're wondering if we should re-think our destination.

Does anyone know if this Is real risk for tourists? If so, is the risk lower in some Caribbean destinations than others? I know this is the Caribbean board, but can anyone comment on the Dengue risk in Hawaii and/or Central America?

Thanks in advance for any info!
