Decent AI with good snorkeling on site

Hey all,

I am looking for an AI around $1000/per week that has decent food (I know this is tough) but more importantly, would love to find one that sit on a great reef to snorkel daily. Any help is much appreciated.

www.bookit.com

www.cheapcaribbean.com

will have best AI values

Jamaica Negril area usually best values.

None "sit on a reef" but an easy short boat ride there...

St John USVI non AI great snorkeling from the beach all over

www.caneelbay.com out of budget probably but lots of cheaper

places if you will do some searching...

Happy Hunting,

Unfortuntly, you may not find what your looking for in that budget. Also, food is just so subjective, but after being to 14 AI hotels, the more expensive the hotel, the better, but that is not always true either.

Look at the Akumal Beach Resort in the Riveria Maya. It's AI and has a reef right out front. We snorkeled there in December and loved it. The best snorkeling we've done in a long time.

Look at Coral Gardens in T & C. They used to have an AI plan, but not sure anymore. There is a great reef out front. Not sure about price.

Look at Cozumel, MX also. You'll find plenty of AI's, lots of reefs and very budget friendly.
