Day Tours in Nassau, Bahamas

Hi,

I will be staying at the Royal Towers in Atlantis and am interested in booking day tours. Could someone give me names or sites of the tour operators there? I'd like to do island tours and others.

Thanks!

We really enjoyed the Powerboat Adventures: http://www.powerboatadventures.com/

I am not sure if things have changed as we went about 5 years ago. You take a speed boat ride out to an island to feed the iguanas. The water is so beautiful there I ended up swimming instead. Then you go to their private island for a wonderful lunch. They have a shark feeding where you can watch either from the sidelines or with snorkel gear in the water which is incredible. Then there is a drift snorkel which was so-so. You then have the rest of the time to explore the island or lounge around. They had these not so wild boars that were more like friendly dogs which join you on the beach. Unfortunately people feed them and even give them alcohol so the adult one at the time got a bit aggressive. The babies were really cute and enjoyed a nice scratch on the tummy. I think they get booked up very quickly so we booked over the internet in advance to ensure a spot. We loved it but it's a bit expensive.

If you want authentic Bahamian food, take a taxi or bus ride out Fish Fries (I think that's what it is called). You can get the most wonderful fresh conch salad prepared infront of you.

We're going in May...I can't wait!

Try these web-sites:

We did the Flying Cloud Catamaran Cruise and went to the Ardasta Zoo and Gardens.

We did not book from these sites though. We stayed at Sandals and booked through them.

For a private boat charter, check out High Seas

Pricey, but run by great brothers, and very professional.

Thank you for all the great responses. My parents are going there for a week and they were looking for some tours leaving from Atlantis hotel, and touring the entire island. Whether it be for shopping, or the botanical garden, they would like to sightsee. They are in their 60's, so I don't think they'll be doing too many water activities.

Any suggestions for senior citizens tours?

Thank you again!
