Crystal Caves (Bermuda) accessibility for young kids
We'll be vacationing in Bermuda with our 3.5- and 1.5-year-old kids and visiting Crystal Caves looks like a fun activity. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how accessible they are for young kids.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi:
I don't remember seeing really young children on the day that I went. I'm not sure if it's because of the stairs (that are really steep and LOTS of them or the fact that it is dark and small ponds and streams are also located below).
I'd go check out their website or make a call to be on the safe side.

The steps were really steep and there were lots of them. With all of the water around, I think with children that age, I would be inclined to skip the caves this visit and instead go to the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo.

We went last June with our 9 and 5 year old; I was nervous with my youngest one. Tons of stairs and once you get to the actual cave with the water; you walk on dock-like structures to check out the "dark" caves. I agree with the previous post and go to the aquarium/zoo; which is a blast! Have a wonderful trip!

In case anyone comes back to this post, I thought I'd add an update.... We ended up leaving our 1.5 year old at the hotel and just took our 3.5 year old to the caves. There were other kids his age there and he had a blast. We held his hand the whole time but there was nothing that made us nervous or seemed particularly dangerous. And especially since Bailey's Ice Cream is just down the road, it made for a great excursion.
