I did not go but I have friends who went and said it was wonderful. I am assuming this would be summer.(??) They said it was gorgeous and enjoyed every minute of Bermuda. They did say a negative thing, about the cruise line. They went on RC and as I recall it was an older ship. They had been on newer ones and liked those ships more. <BR>

Have just booked ourTENTH cruise to Bermuda..we have used NCL from Boston and this year will use NCL from NYC. The RC ship you are talking about is the Nordic Empress... I have a cruise friend who loves that ship... If you would like more info please write...we are BOP's.. Bermuda Obsessed People.

I am from Philly also. I didn't know any ships sailed out of Philly to Bermuda??? I thought New York was the closest point for us??? News to me. This is not a major line it is??? As in RC or Norway?

We have booked the NCL Sea from NYC and then after a few sailings during the summer and early fall they go to Philadelphia. It is a small ship and the cabins are tiny, but it goes to three areas in Bermuda which is very convenient instead of taking a bus everywhere...the newly renovated Dockyard, Hamilton and lovely St. George. The ship is older and from what I was told by rep from NCL on Saturday will be going in to be refurbished. A cruise buddy was on the ship a few years ago and loved it..

Many many years ago, I did go on a cruise to Bermuda. Late Sept. Never again. Waters were very rough. Something to consider. Perhaps it is always rough in that area I don't know. I would think summer would be calmer.

Frankly, since I get sea sick (now have medication bought in Bermuda)I don't like to cruise past mid-September or before the end of May(from Boston)...Not to mention at those time periods the ship from Boston at least is loaded with kids let loose by their parents. BUT that doesn't stop me...I still go..
