Cruise stop
Will be in OR on Princess Cruise in Dec. Would Love to get off the ship, pick up some great sandwiches and cookies and head out somewhere to watch the locals and enjoy the scenery, any suggestions?
Also any children's home or agency to make a donation? |

I'll guess Ocho Rios.

Can't believe I missed that with the many times I've been there on a cruise stop! There is Dunn's River Falls, Fern Gully Road(complete with Jack in the Tree!), several shopping areas including one that has a Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. There must be a children's home there. Do a search.

If you want to get a picnic lunch, you can take it to the Cranbrook Flower Forest, a lovely little park outside Ochi beside a river (it's where the Chukka zip-line tour exits). You can probably pick up food to go at Island Village and then get a taxi out there, but the better choice would be to have the taxi driver take you to Scotchies Too for some excellent jerk and take that out to the park. This park is popular with locals, but there is an admission fee.

Manaw if your stops are St Lucia and Barbados, I highly recommend the Ship wreck Turtle swim in Barbados and the Serenity Cruisers Land & Sea tour or the Volcano & Beach tour. I am not quite certain about the Barbados website, but you can get serenity at serenitytvl.com or toll free 866 766 0794 ask to speak to John or Caroline. There are lots of reviews on them on various sites like cruise mate and cruise critic
