Couples Swept Away Beach Safety

My husband plans to spend time diving/golfing. I want to lounge and read. I have read that there are many beach vendors. How agressive are they? And, is it pretty safe for a woman alone on the beach?

Negril's cleaned up the higgler scene considerably. It still exists,
but it's far less pesky. Just say
"Respect -- but thanks, no." And go
back to your reading. Tho as a female alone on the beach, you are fair game for being approached,
you shouldn't have to worry during
the daytime about your
personal safety, esp. in front of
Couples where the guards on duty
may likely also be looking out for your well-being.

Thanks so much for the response. I am slowly beginning to look forward to the trip.

I went to Swept Away as a single woman several years ago when they had singles weeks. I have also stayed there as part of a couple.

I never had an issue that a polite but firm "no, thank you" did not resolve.

It is a great resort with a wonderful beach and a terrific sports complex. Make sure to book a massage in one of the palapas with the waterfalls.

Enjoy!
