We are going next week and now I am a little nervous about the nude area. We are 52 and 56 and do not intend to go nude? May change our minds but would like to know are we going to be the only ones at the resort clothed? I want to relax on the beach, do some water activites but not be surrounded by nudes. Are we going to enjoy this resort?

Yes, there is a small piece of the beach behind some tree's where a couple of ladies had their tops off, but 99% of the people are always clothed.

Where did you hear you would be surrounded by "nudes"

Just reading various remarks from trip advisor and frommers I got the impression I would be uncomfortable at this resort if I was clothed. Just wanted to make sure before we went.

The nude (& it is nude, not clothing optional) beach @ CN is a very small part of the beach & it's right at the end of the resort, right next to Grand Lido Negril. If you don't walk down to that end of the beach & if you don't have a room in bldgs 6 or 9, then you might not even know the AN beach is there at all. There is a barrier of bushes separating the AN beach from the main beach. If you are uncomfortable around the AN beach, then you can just lay out up at the pool area or down the beach more, closer to RIU Tropical Bay.

That said, why not give it a try ?? If you try it towards the end of your trip & discover you actually like it, you'll be kicking yourselves for not doing it sooner !! And, if you don't like it , you just don't have to go back over. :) We're 37 & are usually just about the youngest ppl on the nude beaches we go to -- so , if you're worried about being the oldest ones over there, you most likely will not be.

At any rate, don't worry, you will not be the only clothed ppl at the resort & will not be surrounded by nudes !! :)

Thank you so much for your information. We are looking forward to our trip. We leave Sat. the 9th. I have read great things about the resort and side trips but was a little anxious regarding the nude area. Who knows, we may try it and like it.
