Couples Negril
 

We are going to Couples Negril Sep 3 2002 and have never been there before. Any comments on what I can expect.

Nuthin' but good.

Couples Negril is nice, but not fancy. The food was okay but not outstanding. If I could do it over again I would pick a different resort an also a different island. Keep an eye on the weather for hurricanes!!!

I took my wife there for an anniversary and it was okay. It wasn't the dream vacation I was expecting but it wasn't horrible. I don't think I would go back there unless I won a trip to Couples. My advice is to spend your money at another resort.

The only good thing about this property is the pool. Its very nice. I had a good time at the resort but it wasn't what I was expecting. I did stay at Sandals Mobay also and really LOVED that property. Its closer to the aiport and the resort is just fun, fun, fun, fun. Have a good time and post a trip report when you get back to let us know your thoughts. I agree with the above poster, keep an eye on the weather.

Wow - I Can't believe you LOVED Sandals MoBay. The place is so run down and dirty. The food was mediocre and the place was crawling with bugs.<BR>When you were there last???<BR>

Melissa,<BR><BR>Don't know what people above are talking about - they are either spoiled from unbelievably luxurious vacations in Bora Bora, have ridiculous expectations or they haven't been to Couples Negril.<BR><BR>I thought the food was very good, accommodations very good and it's on one of the nicest beaches in the Caribbean. Swim-up pool is nice, staff was courteous and overall a very nice experience - I would go back. You will like the rooms and the environment is tropical and classy.<BR><BR>90% of the reviews you will find for Couples Negril are very positive and it is consistently rated as one of the best resorts in Jamaica.<BR><BR>Enjoy your stay and post your comments when you return.

I hope it hasn't changed since. The food was very good, the beach was fantastic, the rooms were nice, and the staff was excellent.<BR><BR>We would return without hesitation. Have a great time!<BR>
