COTTON HOUSE?
Has anyone been to the Cotton House lately besides travel writers? Help!
|
Where is it at?
|
Its on the island of Mustique.
I have not been there, but have read about it. Very nice small hotel, they even have a pilow menu! |
I just saw a piece on the Travel Channel about Mustique and the Cotton House. The pillow menu and all the other fabulous amenities they offer come with a hefty price tag. I believe they said rates start at $1,000 per night!

We go each fall and it's a wonderful resort. It now has a full service spa and a cute beach grill for lunch as well as the main dining room for breakfast and lunch. I think they still serve light lunches at the pool too. All the rooms are nice - air/conditioned and generous sized baths.
It's fun to rent a mule for a day or two and go exploring. We love to have lunch at Basils Bar and if you are there on Wednesday night, don't miss the big all you can eat West Indian buffet with live music. The Fire Fly bar and restaurant is another fun place to visit - wonderful hillside views. The Cotton House will also arrange picnic lunches and take you to Macaroni Beach at the other end of the island. Gorgeous long white sand beach. Have fun! |
scubamom- thanks for the info - i have visited your web-photos/travel logs in the past and appreciate the info. we're thinking of going with a group of couples in december for a celebration. do you think it is too isolated or perfect for 10 physically active adults traveling together? also, do you dive, and if so, how's the diving?
|
I just posted a diving report by Diane Wilson of Basil's Bar at www.scubamom.com/grenadines/mustique/scuba.htm - we never stay but a few days, so spend our time exploring landside instead of bottom side!
If you are with a group, you probably won't run out of things to do. As a couple, about 3 or 4 days is more than enough and then we jump off to Young Island where there's lots of day trips in and around St. Vincent plus some fabulous dive sites and underwater critters. How long were y'all going to be there? |
plan is for 5 nights with 5 couples and then my husband and i will go for 3 days alone somewhere. probably sandy lane in barbados...
|
That should work fine - ya'll should have lots of fun. Let us all know how your trip went when you return.
