Coral or Beach Tower at the Atlantis

What is the difference between a Coral Tower Water View room and a Beach Tower Water View room at the Atlantis?

One is in a musty 25 year old building with water views and the other is in a less musty 20 year old building with water views.

Go Coral. It's in the middle (between Beach & Royal), it's newer and quite a bit nicer.

Laney,
We just got back from a week on Paradise Island. We stayed 3 nights at Comfort Suites and 3 nights at the Sheraton. The balcony from our Sheraton room looked right over at Atlantis, specifically the Beach Tower. The Beach Tower that faced us looked awful. Sure, they had an ocean view but they also looked over (and some were only a few feet from) the nasty old looking roof and a bunch of industrial type equipment. If we had paid to stay at the Atlantis we would have been appalled with that. If you do choose the Beach Tower be sure and request the side that faces the Coral Tower. MUCH better view for your money!
We spent a week at Atlantis in July and stayed in the Coral Towers. The room was lovely with a great view of the marina. I did not actually see a Beach Tower room but the lobby was not as impressive as the lobby in the Coral Towers...don't know if that carries over into the rooms. We went to the Sheraton one night for dinner though and I saw the side of the Beach Tower that Laurie is talking about....not very nice. I, too, would request a room that faced the Coral Tower...much nicer. I had priced the Beach Towers also and for just an additional $214 we were able to stay in the Coral Towers. Actually, the price we got for Comfort Suites and the Beach Towers was the same so I'm not sure why people say that Comfort Suites is such a great deal. Perhaps during another time of year the price difference would be more substantial.

Regarding the Bahamian people....we found them to be very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, most waitstaff was very deserving of the 15% gratuity.

Murray's Deli at Atlantis was the best restaurant that we found. Julie's at the Sheraton (Italian food) was also very good but a bit pricier....no too bad though. Bring plenty of snack items with you...we requested a refridgerator for our room....a fairly large one was delivered within 1/2 hour...no charge for the week!

Have a wonderful time wherever you choose to stay.....Atlantis is an awesome place.
