Convention in Bermuda

Can someone recommend a 4 star hotel in Bermuda with accomodations for approximately 500. We will need meeting rooms every day. We are also looking for a place that has plenty of activities (watersports, golf, tennis, spa's, etc.). Looking for something close to the airport for easy access and something close to town for restaurants and nightlife. Would rather not rely on hotel food or do an all inclusive package. Can you recommend a couple places and advise on when offseason is in Bermuda. Thank you

Check out the Southampton Princess. It's the largest hotel on the island, and is arguably the nicest(as far as large hotels go.) Only problem - of all the hotels on the island it is the farthest from the airport, about a 30 minute cab ride. But it does have all the amenities you will need, including its own golf course and private beach. They have several good restaurants on site. Restaurants off-site might not be able to handle LARGE crowds. Off-season, I think, would be June-August. But I'm not sure if there is such a thing as an off-season in Bermuda. It is a PRICEY island.

Offseason in Bermuda is December thru March (It's not in the Carribean). My guess is that the Fairmont Southampton Princess is the only choice for what you want, and the the hotel meal plan would likely be the best bet from a $$$ perspective as well as convenience. The FSHP is a beautiful hotel and seems to have nice convention facilities. Good luck!

I have been to Bermuda twice for large medical conferences that were held at the Southhampton Princess. HUGE success -- great meeting rooms/facilities, nice rooms and the meal plan (breakfast -- HUGE, beautiful brunch-type bar, and dinner -- at a variety of about 5 on and off site excellent restaurants) was excellent. The island is so small, really nothing is too far from the airport or downtown although technically this hotel is not extremely close to either.
