construction next to rwi
 

Would appreciate any info about the construction going on next to rwi. We are planning our 4th trip to rwi early Dec and are wondering if the construction will be completed by then. Thanks!

The only construction near RWI is the Estates at Grace Bay...there is a condo-building in between RWI and the GBC. Looks like over a year before it's finished.

Thanks PandyB. I'm aware of the construction for the Estates at Grace Bay. I believe the construction I read about is the condo-building between RWI and GBC. Staying at the RWI the past 3 years we haven't been bothered by construction noise so when I read about construction next door I couldn't imagine where it could be. I forgot about the empty lot behind the condo complex next door to RWI.

There is no empty lot next to RWI. One side is Club Med. The other side is Grandview (which isn't used as a rental, it is more residential.) Next to Grandview is Grace Bay Club Estates.

The only other construction I can think of close by is on Grace Bay Road, and that's the old Morroccan building is changing into a casino. The construction on that should be finished by now. (Can't guarantee it though, it's been since Jan since I've been on island) RWI sits pretty far back from Grace Bay Road.

The area I was thinking of is when you pull into the driveway that takes you in the rwi resort, on the left side, if I remember correctly, there was an empty lot which would be behind the Grandview. Someone on another site posted that they thought the Grandview was expanding. This is where I thought the construction would be. We rent from a private owner next door to Club Med so unless Club Med had been sold I didn't think the construction was on that side of the resort.
