Connection Time SXM to SBH of 1.5 Hours

My flight from the USA arrives in St Martin at 13:30 and I'm planning to take a flight to St Barth later that afternoon. Is 1.5 hours enough time to connect? I'm flying business class from the US, so I will presumably be one of the first passengers off the plane, plus my hotel in St Barth (Le Sereno) offers help at SXM with the connection. (My flights are on United and then WinAir - St Barth commuter is sold out.) Assuming that my flight from the US arrives reasonably on time, is 1.5 hours enough to make the connection (immigration, customs, luggage claim, luggage recheck, flight check-in)? Le Sereno has advised that the time is sufficient, but I just wanted additional confirmation. (The next WinAir flight leaves 2.5 hours after my arrival in SXM, so I don't want to wait an extra hour if it's not necessary.) Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, I think you'll have time -- the check-in areas for the flights to SBH are right next to the baggage area in the SXM airport. Stop by the Winair desk before the baggage arrives on the carousel, on your way by, and they'll make sure to help you get it switched over and that you make it to the commuter plane. ALL of the folks at the Winair and SBH Commuter counters are super helpful and accommodating, and if there's a Le Sereno representative there, you are really all set.

Have a fabulous time!!

I am not sure if you have taken this trip yet, but let me volunteer a different opinion: This will be tight.

The problem is that if you check luggage, you can't use the transit counters. You have to
- Clear immigration (The Sereno person may get you to the front of the line)
- Wait for your luggage to come through the carrousel (nothing they can do there)
- Clear customs -- quick
- re-check your luggage -- can be slow as Winair is unpredictable but the Sereno person can probably help as well
- re-enter the departure area -- can be slow but perhaps the Sereno person can help you jump the line
- get to your plan

So, yes, you could make it. Or if not lucky, you may miss it.

According to firnds living in St Martin, the aircrafts for St Barth are very very small so it takes about 4 min to embark. Coming 25 min before take off time is aplenty !

Even if your bag is not checked to final destination,You Can use the transfer counters. Just go through immigration, then to transfer counters advising You have arrived, collect your bag, back to the transfer counter to check it, then take the lift for the short cut to Security for departure, head for A gates and You are done. There are so many flights between SXM and SBH That Winair would find a solution even if You are delayed.
