Confused and Overwhelmed
Hi. Trying to plan a caribbean trip for 6 couples for next June ('03). Would love to be pampered while lounging on a beautiful white sand beach with nice pool nearby and of course a great pool bar. Men need access to a golf course. Are considering Cap Juluca, but also like Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Puerto Rico, or St. John. Where should we go?

Puerto Rico has excellent golfing & pampering facilities. I prefer the Isla Verde & Condado areas.
None of the islands you chose offer golf except for Puerto Rico. St. John would use the golf course on St. Thomas (a 15-minute ferry and 15 minute taxi)or go to St. Martin from Anguilla.
In Puerto Rico, you might want to look into the Westin, the Hyatts (Dorado and Cerromar) and Wyndham El COnquistador. All are very nice resorts that offer golf.
Ritz Rose Hall in Jamaica would fit the bill. So would Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic.

Lopok into Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica. Golf is included in the all inclusive price for your stay.
Puerto Rico is known to have the finest golf courses in all the caribbean.
