Condo or Resort ???
My family and I are planning on taking a vacation to GC in June this year and we are doing some research on whether to stay at a condo or a resort. We have 2 children (13 & 16) and are looking for the best advice from those who have been to GC. All recommendations are welcome.

Andy,
Go condo!! Check out www.caymanvacations.com for condo info. Especially with 2 children, condo is the way to go.
Sandy

For those of you who saig "go Condo" do you have any favorites or suggestions. There are many to choose from. Looking for beach front, 2 bedrooms, pool etc.

Sorry to intrude on this conversation but I am also interested in condo suggesttions, preferably with a 1 BR option as well.

Thanks :-)

I have to say we love Treasure Island. Stayed in a 3 bedroom oceanfront twice already. Condos have been recently renovated. Great location, awesome pools. Snorkeling off their beach. www.ticondos.com

Is it the norm on GC for condos to come with a staff? maid, cook, etc?

Just wondering :)

We stayed at Aqua Bay this past December. All condos are two-bedroom, but one can be locked off for a one-br rate.

We loved the AB. We'll be back there for sure. Check it out on www.aquabayclub.com

Good luck! Have a GREAT time. It is a beautiful island.

Lisa
Andy,
There are so many nice condos, it is hard to choose. If you like the quieter northern end of 7MB, Aqua Bay is a favorite. More centrally located is Plantana, which many people like. To the south end of 7MB, the Grandview is very nice, and walking distance for people who don't want to rent a car, but the beach isn't as nice as the northern end. Most all of the condos are beachfront and 2 bedrooms. The nicest condos on 7MB, IMO, are the Avalon and Coralstone, but they're pricy and the Avalon is 3 bedrooms. Your lower end condos would be like the Seaqull, but it has a great beach area. The way I would choose is pick what's important to you. Pool, close to restaurants, need a car, don't need a car, close to nightlife etc. We all have different tastes, so it's hard to say with out knowing what you like. Where I stay on GC, the Retreat at Rum Point, most people would hate, because it's so far away from everything. Hubby and I love it because we want total seclusion. Wish I could help more!!
Sandy
