Club Med Punta Cana
I am looking at going to the Club Med Punta Cana in February and was wondering if anyone has been there lately. We are a family of 3..with a 3 year old. I hear the kids clubs is good...but are there a lot of english speaking kids there as well? Also, I am pregnant and although I don't anticipate a trip to the doctor...does anyone know about the medical facilites and what about the food/water? Please advise!

is it even safe for you to fly? :P just concerned....

I wouldn't be going on a Caribean vacation if it wasn't safe to fly OR leave the country! Pregnant woman can safely travel with doctors permission up til their 30 week internationally or 35 weeks domestic.

We were there years ago and had a great time. The kids club is good and there were lots of English-speaking kids, although that may depend on timing (school breaks, etc.). I think that the water is always safe at Club Med, but you may want to be careful. We always ate everything, even salads and cut fruit. Have been to Club Med in Ixtapa twice as well; the Club Med food is always terrific, better than at other AI's. Don't know about medical facilities in DR in general, but there are always doctors available at Club Med. It's a gorgeous property, more laid-back than the Ixtapa club. You'll enjoy it! (And your child will probably want to stay in the kids' club all day.)

Thanks Sandra for the reply! I am hoping my daughter will want to stay in the club all day!! It will leave me time to relax, probably for the last time with new baby on the way!!
