I am not hear to stir up controversary. Just giving my opinion. I was at the Raddison Cable Beach 5 years ago. Two of the restaurants were closed and the food was not good at the other restaurants so we ate most of our meals at the Marriott next door. The rooms were shoddy, the maids nasty and the staff was not friendly at all. I just didn't like it. Period. Radisson hotels are not typically luxury properties and honeymoons should be special. I just didn't like the Bahamas. I've been to 14 Caribbean Islands from the Bahamas, to St. Martin to Barbados and the Bahamas was my least favorite. To: XYZ and Steve? thanks for the support. It seems as though "To Steve", is one the one wants to stir up the controversary. So, "To Steve" Have you ever been to the Bahamas?

I agree that "To Steve" is the one stiring up controversy. Steve, you were just stating your opinion, which is the exact reason for this site. If somebody doesn't want to or doesn't have time to get into great detail about it, WHO CARES! An opinion is an opinion regardless of how much typing is involved to express that opinion.

Please, get back on the subject. The poor person said THEY DID WANT AI and you people keep giving resorts that are not. It is not for you to decide whether they go AI or not, just give them suggestions.

Grand Lido Braco - Jamaica
Ritz Carlton - Jamica
Moon Palace Resort - Outside Cancun
Wyndham Resort - Aruba.

Concerned:
Well I didn't know that the Radisson had been renovated. Hopefully the food and service are better and the staff is friendlier. I am sure that there are many people who like the Bahamas and like the Radisson. It's just not for me and my wife.

The Radission in Cable Beach seems to be geared more towards families and business travelers. I was there last May for a conference and had no problem with the hotel or its amenities - the room was actually very decent. Really could'nt complain. But it is definetly not somewhere I would chose for a honeymoon. If Bahamas is what you want, I hear the Sandals Royal Bahamas (I beleive is what it is called) is great. Friends of mine had their honeymoon there last June and they raved - and they are not easily impressed by any means so it must be something - and it is all-incls. Other al-incls for a honeymoon - well I like Barbados personally and there are lots of hotels on the west coast of Barbados which might be ideal for a honeymoon but are not al-incl - example is Sandy Lane Hotel and Spa - they just did major renovations, including adding an amazing spa, very posh and expensive but it is your honeymoon after all, and you and your bride are worth it, I would think...so that's my humble suggestion. Have fun, whatever you decide

I should have added that Barbados has beautiful countryside, lots of great beaches, great variety when it comes to resturants and awesome food, some nightlife, watersports to suit every fancy...I note that you say you don't want to be bothered with taxis or making reservations - if that is the case, you would be missing out on alot that Barbados and most islands have to offer so you might want to rethink that. If you stayed at Sandy Lane for example, there are lots of great resturants in the vicinity of the hotel which would be a short taxi ride/or even a walk away. Just some additional thoughts

To xxx,

A minor clarification my friend....Parker stated that they would like an AI but it is not a must. Perhaps reading the 'whole' question might help next time before you go foaming at the mouth.
