Ciboney vs. Sweptaway

Has anyone been to either or both of these resorts? I am very interested in going to one or the other of these resorts. So far, Ciboney sounds more like what I want - they give a complimentary spa package and they have (I think) a nice pool. But Sweptaway has the better beach, I have heard. Please give me any feedback that you can. Also, for people who have been to Ciboney - do you have to take a shuttle to get to the beach?

I would recommend the SWEPT AWAY RESORT, i haven't been to either, but was looking into trip to Ciboney, big resort...you do have to take a shuttle to beach and heard bad reports about service provided. Beach is better at Swept away and I have heard nothing but good about this resort...is more money though

I have stayed at Ciboney and would not stay anywhere else in Jamaica! Fantastic. Great service. Wonderful food. You can make arrangements for staff to come to your villa to make your breakfast! Lovely pool area and the villas have their own private pool. We did not book a villa, but since they were not full, we were upgraded to this accommodation. I can't say enough about this resort. I travel to the Caribbean frequently and think this is the best value there.

We stayed at Swept Away in Feb., and had a wonderful time. Service was excellent, nothing was crowded, and no room was more than 50-75 yards from the beach. I'd go back there any time. Excellent place for active couples, as golf and tennis are included.
