Choosing an Island for our Honeymoon...any help would be appreciated!

My fiancé and I are looking to book our honeymoon the end of June (2013). We are looking to the Caribbean but I’m a bit overwhelmed with the choices for both islands and resorts. Some of the places we have it narrowed down to….

Anguilla
Turks & Caicos
BVIs???

We are open to maybe doing 2 different islands....do some jumping.

We have been to Jamaica before and I loved it. Stayed at an AI (Secrets Wild Orchid). Loved everything about Jamaica but obviously looking to go somewhere new. Would like to stay away from Mexico and Dominican. Been to Mexico and didn’t like it.

Open to both all inclusive options and not AI. Adults only would be a plus!

We are beach people. While it is our honeymoon, we’d like a nice mix of relaxing on the beach, doing a few day trips….maybe charter a boat for the day, explore the island. Love beach bars, etc.

We are not interested in St Lucia and the "lusher", mountainous islands...rather have beautiful beaches and water!

Any suggestions you can provide would be good. Would like to keep everything when all said and done around $5k - $6k

What about a chartered yacht? You would have a captain and chef, new beach every day, all food and drink, etc. There are boats that cater to honeymooners and know how to provide the privacy you want. The BVIs are a perfect place for this. Just need a charter yacht broker who will match you up with a boat and crew!

It sounds like Sandals Resort is the perfect all inclusive hotel for you. There are Sandals properties is Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, St. Lucia and Antigua. You can't go wrong with a Sandals Resort.

You said that you are looking at June? The earlier you book the better.

There is not a Sandals in Turks and Cacios. It's actually a Beaches resort, which will be full of kids.

For AI in T & C look at the Veranda.

Chartering a yacht sounds like an excellent idea, a perfect way to island hop by the beach and enjoy bars and restaurants on the beach in the marina etc. A nice island, Barbados offers the beaches described, beautiful water and sand and there is the option to charter a private sale to close by islands such as St. Vincent and the Grenadines islands, St. Barths , St. Lucia ...

Not sure what these excursions would cost but they do offer half day and whole day tours. Chantours Caribbean comes to mind you can also google Chantours Barbados .

Good luck and happy travels

Oh you should go to Jamaica and get an all inclusive package. I went there last year for a "couples only" holiday and loved it! I thought I may get bored, but it was the most relaxing holiday and beautiful island that I've visited! Me and my fiance are going back to Jamaica for our honeymoon in 2014 We're thinking about staying in the Sans Souci resort this time. We're booking ours with "Couples Resorts". Here is the link to the honeymoon page - http://www.couplesresorts.co.uk/wedd...ns/honeymoons/

All the best with the wedding and enjoy your honeymoon

I think Anguilla is the way to go-great beaches, great people, great restaurants, able to explore the island, some nightlife (Elvis' Beach Bar, Dune Preserve, Pumphouse). Agree with another poster about Frnagipani, but you can also get deals at that time of year at CuisinArt, or my favorite, Cap Juluca. Call Cap directly, tell them it's your honeymoon and see if they will do anything for you
