Choose between the Cayman Islands and Aruba

I'd go to Aruba! The Hyatt in Grand Cayman isn't on the beach and the Hyatt in Aruba is supposed to be one of the nicest hotels there.(we didn't stay there)
They both have very nice beaches, but other than the blowing sand, I'd vote for the one in Aruba. It was so nice and clean and smooth that you could walk in the dark and not worry about what you were stepping on.
Grand Cayman tends to be very crowded when the cruise ships are in and the last time we were there it seemed like one was in daily!
Both islands have good shopping and duty free stores.
Cayman is so Americanized it's like you haven't left home and I like an island that gives me a little taste of something different.
As far as sights go I think there is more to see in Aruba.
Have a great time no matter where you decide to go.

We went to Aruba last year and loved it! Great beach, great food, great people.
We are going to the Caymans for our honeymoon next June.
They Hyatt in Aruba is a very beautiful hotel.
I've heard great reports about both Islands. I don't think you could go wrong with either.
It does seem like Aruba is less expensive than the Caymans. Also, you'll really want to stay for more than 3 nights.

Never been to the Cayman Islands, but we spent our Honeymoon 4 years ago at the Hyatt in Aruba - It was wonderful! Very beautiful Hotel. Lots of fun stuff to do - be sure to rent a jeep and follow a good map or follow another tour group to see all the sites on the "wild side" of the island.
