I would wait a while, I am sure it will get cheaper, especially since it is off-season. I booked my USAir tickets to PR last May for a November trip and ended up rebooking once because the price dropped so much and I still could have gotten it cheaper. Are you booking your hotel through a travel agent? The "excursion" airfares you get through someplace like Liberty Travel usually are much cheaper.

I don't know what your dates are Steve, but most cheap specials end in March or May.

Found this example on travelocity. You would have to go to Atlantic City to get the price of $298.00 per person.

This flight takes you to San Juan. From there, you can take a hopper to SKB. Going direct to SKB is real outrageous compared to flying into SJU and then taking the hopper for approx. $116.00.

Flight: Spirit Airlines flight 259 on a McDonnell Douglas
Depart Atlantic City, NJ (ACY)- Tue, Jun 03 7:15am
Arrive: Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood Intl (FLL) - Tue, Jun 03 9:50am

Flight: Spirit Airlines flight 1765 on a McDonnell Douglas MD80 Jet
Depart: Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood Intl (FLL)- Tue, Jun 03 10:50am
Arrive: San Juan,Puerto Rico (SJU) - Tue, Jun 03 1:25pm

Flight: Spirit Airlines flight 1754 on a McDonnell Douglas MD80 Jet
Depart: San Juan,Puerto Rico (SJU)- Wed, Jun 11 3:55pm
Arrive: Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood Intl FLL) - Wed, Jun 11 6:40pm

Flight: Spirit Airlines flight 1268 on a McDonnell Douglas MD80 Jet
Depart: Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood Intl (FLL)- Wed, Jun 11 7:50pm
Arrive: Atlantic City, NJ (ACY) - Wed, Jun 11 10:20pm

Don't know if this helps you at all, but if you would like to contact me privately, I would be happy to check out some more options for you.

Shawn

we booked in August 2002, for Jan 4sat to Jan 11 Sat, booked it through Orbitz.com, USAIRWAYS non-stop service, I would look into those San Juan connections as well, maybe you can get a good deal-----I for the life of me can't understand why June would be twice as expensive as January!
