Cell phones in Aruba? Other ways to call home?
DH and I are off to Aruba tomorrow. Will our Sprint cell phone work there? If not, are there calling cards readily available to call home with? Thank you!

Call Sprint to double check but it should work just with high raoming charges. Phone cards are available and a much cheaper option.
Have a wonderfrul time.
PS. Go to El Gaucho and order the El Gaucho steak, it's the best one you will ever have.

You can call USA from Aruba for 25 cents a minute. I know of the following two places, but there are probably more. In the shopping arcade next to the Alhambra Casino there is an internet/phone store. Downtown in the Royal Plaza Shopping Plaza - first floor in the back there is another internet/phone store. These two places I have used myself. There is also a place behind SBARRO Italian Eatery across from Playa Linda. I have not used this place but I think the price is similar to the first two places I mentioned.

My understanding is that Sprint doesn't work anywhere but the U.S. - so says Sprint guy I spoke to 2 weeks ago when shopping for a new plan, but check with them. That fancy network they built from the ground up here is not compatible with networks elsewhere.
