Caymans or St John..HELP!!

Hi, I want to go to either Grand Cayman or St John in early December. Will there much of a difference in terms of temperature or in terms of sun/rain?? I want to choose the island that will be hotter and with less rain. THANKS.

Should be about the same-- though Cayman may still be showing some storm damage. St John hasn't been hit in a while.

I think they will be about the same weather-wise. You will find St. John to be friendlier, more casual and prettier. However, the restuarants are MUCH better in GC and best of all, I have recently seen some extremely low prices that would be hard to beat in GC.

I don't think St John is friendlier or more casual-- but it's DEFINITELY prettier. Much as I like the underwater scene (and the people) in Cayman, the island, alas, is not at all attractive. St John very much is. (I also think, by the way, that St John's restaurants are as good as Cayman's. Neither island has great food-- nothing like St Barts or Anguilla.) Another impt difference: lots of wonderful condos right on the beach in Cayman; not so at St John. All depends on what you're looking for. good luck.

Also, depending where you are flying from, travel time can differ. We prefer direct flights, wherever possible.
