Cayman Islands All-Inclusive
Which all-inclusive is best for two 22 year olds celebrating their college graduation? Something safe and something around 4 stars. Going in June, Thanks
|
grand cayman has only 1 ai. it's called the reef & is a wonderful resort but not where you want to be. it's 45 min drive from all the action. also gc is dry/arid not lush as you are seeking. if you want to be on gc you might like the westin, which is in a good spot on seven mile beach.
i think st.lucia might best meet your needs. has the rainforest, pitons, drive through volcano, good hiking, strenous biking, and more. the beaches are not the best (these are found on dry arid island like grand cayman or turks & caicos, or bahamas) but are beautiful. i would look at the 3 sandals to see which one suits you. another option might be st. thomas. lots to do, access to st. john with it's fantastic snorkeling & all the bvi's to look around. st. thomas has shopping, plenty of rests/bars. wyndham sugar bay is the only ai. |
Hi doodledog,
I agree with Virginia that GC isn't going to be for you if you want an A/I. Have you thought about trying someplace like Aruba? |
The Marriot on 7 Mile Beach in Grand Cayman also has an AI plan. However, it's most situated for families.
For AI, I would suggest the Playa del Carman/Riveria Maya area of Mexico. 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen is a great place for 22 year olds. Look at the RIU's in that area. |
I second the suggestion for the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. Lots of AI resorts and plenty to do off the resorts.
|
I think Cancun will be better for you than Playa del Carmen. Lots of AI resorts.
|
Just to be clear, Grand Cayman doesn't really have any AI resorts. The Reef and a couple of other places offer AI plans, but there's nothing even remotely comparable to a large AI resort in the Dominican Republic or Mexico. This really isn't the destination for you. You want to go to Cancun.
|
Aruba? Where are the AI's in Aruba? I don't think of Aruba as an AI destination. Maybe Aruba Holiday Inn? There are so many wonderful restuarants in Aruba, why wld anybody want to go AI?
|
Aruba offers the following AI resorts. Though it's not as extensive as Mexico, it's better than Grand Cayman:
Aruba Marriott Rst & Stellaris Casino Divi Aruba Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Aruba Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa Occidental Grand Aruba Riu Palace Aruba Tamarijn The Westin Aruba Resort Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino Amsterdam Manor I agree that Aruba is probably not the best destination to go all inclusive. There are tons of resurants in all price ranges and they are easy to get to. |
Thx, KVR
