Cayman island

We r looking to go to the caymans February 2012 and would love some recommendations. We r planning a 4 night trip with another couple and looking to spend $3-4000. We would prefer to have a great beach and pool area and some good restaurants. Any recommendations would be great! Thanks

Grand Cayman is very expensive in February. The Marriott,Beach Suites and Westin will probably be $400-600 per room per night , hard to justify the price for nice but not very luxurious rooms. The Ritz Ritz Carlton is very luxurious, but probably $800 per night per room. For 2 couples, multiple times 2 rooms, add resort and other hidden fees, and it will go over you budget. You would be better sharing with a luxury condo, 2 bedroom, in central or north Seven Mile Beach. South Seven Mile Beach, more crowded and narrower beach Probably $400-600 per night in the north and $600-800 in the central part. T

I've never been there (or heard about it until now), but I looked it up online. It looks quite gorgeous. I'm not a fan of beaches or anything, but the water is just lovely. There are also a lot of sting rays, apparently, which are interesting.
If you're going to go, have fun.

Not sure how many travelers would consider the Grand Cayman Marriott or the Grand Cayman Beach Suites "super upscale" hotels, but you can sometimes get deals at each as stated through Priceline and/or Hotwire.

As recommended previously, the condo lodgings on Grand Cayman are generally considered to offer the best beach front value.

Check out VRBO. Many many condos listed on the north end that look reasonably priced. We are thinking about going there for spreak break week and will likely rent a villa on the north shore to avoid crowds etc.

Here is a link to a few affordable restaurants on Grand Cayman. http://www.funtravelandfood.com/2011...nd-cayman.html

These places really helped us stretch the budget and have a good time.
