Casaurina - Barbados
 
The Casuarina in Barbados has been bought by Almond Beach. The hotel will be closed June 1st for renovations and will reopen in the winter.

Additional comment on this -- as it has been bought out by Almond Beach, when the property re-opens it will be an all-inclusive.

Has this property reopened? What is it's new Almond Beach name?

It will reopen on April 15, 2006 as ALMOND CASUARINA BEACH (an all-inclusive). When it reopens it will have 3 new restaurants, an additional 100 hotel rooms and updated sporting facilities.

Thank you Lois. Our memories of Casuarina are very zen. I expect Almond Beach to be higher profile, but hopefully they can retain the relaxing botanical beauty of the old Casuarina. :-)
