casa de Campo

Has anyone stayed at Casa de Campo recently? I would appreciate any and all comments. I have heard that the beach is small, can anyone quantify "small" (as in San Juan beaches?) How is the food, accomodations, children's programs?

Thanks - I have it on hold - need advice ASAP

was there last feb, yes the beach is small, can not compare to San Juan would guess it is approx. 3/4 of a mile maybe a bit less. The food was great, really great with the exception of Lagos grill. We honeymooned here 17 years ago and this was our first time back. Enjoyed it immensely, found the rooms to be just a tad tired. Had to be moved from our first room due to location, resort was very accomodating. Can't help you with childrens progams, no kids here. The new marina area should be a big hit. Feel free to email me with any questions.

I just got back from Casa de Campo three days ago. The beach is small but is bigger than say the Inter-continnental or Hilton Caribe in San Juan. Food was good not excellent but nice. We stayed in a 5 bedroom villa with maid, butler, private pool. Absolutely stunning. The house was amazing. The main hotel looked very nice. The resort is very spread out, but they do a good job with transportation. Rent a golf cart for easier travel throughout the resort. Didn't bring the kids, but I heard the Casa kid's program was good.
