Carnival Sensation - How is the ship? The food? The service?
We are planning a group tour in summer of 99 on the Sensation and seek input from anyone who has been on what to expect.

Sending back up. We really would appreciate some input from anyone who has been on this ship.

My husband and I were on the Sensation August of 1996. This was our first cruise on Carnival (previously cruised NCL). The ship was very nice and the cabins were larger than others we've been in. The layout of the ship was also good; a nice "modern" layout. The pools and deck spaces were alittle crowded, but if we went to the pool in the aft (not the one with the slide) there was more room. The cabin steward was excellent and very friendly. The food was good, but very plain and not "gourmet" like on NCL. There were a number of lounges with very good entertainment, but the disco was overrun with kids. The comedian was one of the funniest we've ever seen. The shows were just ok. We also really enjoyed the shore exursions we went on. All in all, it was a good cruise. Hope you have fun!

We are going on the Sensation to San Juan, St. Thomas and Sint Maarten during the Thanksgiving holiday this year. Our first cruise. You are most welcome to e-mail me with any questions about the entire trip after we are back home. Sometime around the 5th of December.
Everyone I know who has been on Carnival Cruises has had a nice time and has made more than one cruise with them.
