caribbean in hurricane season
 
someone give me an island in the caribbean for a vacation that will withstand the huuricane season for a vacation date of 10/16/02 of this year beside Aruba

Please keep in mind that NO island is safe from hurricanes. Some have lower chances than others of getting hit but all are vulnerable. I would suggest getting travel insurance.

Pretty much any of the southern Caribbean islands are pretty safe.

Bonaire and Curacao are the other 2 islands in the abc chain that are supposed to be outside the hurricane belt

I agree no islands in the region are safe from hurricanes, Aruba, Bonaire Curacao have lower probabilities of being struck. The last hurricane to strike the ABC islands directly was back in 1890.

Aruba has had 2 hurricanes within 1 degree latitude since 1944 and Bonaire/Curacao 1 each.<BR><BR>Since 1886 Aruba has had 6 hurricanes, B&C 4 each.<BR><BR>This according to the Caribbean Hurricane Netwiork website.
